Barker's Christmas Rolls

Ingredients:

  • 450–500 g ground Italian sausage
  • 5 tbsp Barker’s Korean Style BBQ Garlic Soy Sauce & Marinade
  • ½ bag stuffing mix
  • Extra Barker’s Korean Style BBQ Garlic Soy Sauce & Marinade (for spreading on pastry)
  • 7 bacon slices
  • Cheddar cheese, sliced
  • 1 sheet ready-rolled puff pastry
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven
    Preheat to 400 F. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the filling
    In a large bowl, thoroughly combine the ground Italian sausage, stuffing mix, and 5 tablespoons of Korean Style BBQ Garlic Soy Sauce & Marinade
  3. Prepare the pastry
    Lay the puff pastry flat on a clean surface. Spread a thin, even layer of Korean Style BBQ Garlic Soy Sauce & Marinade over the pastry.
  4. Add the bacon
    Arrange the streaky bacon evenly over the sauced pastry, slightly overlapping if needed.
  5. Fill and layer
    Spread the sausage mixture evenly over the bacon. Place the cheddar cheese in a line along the centre.
  6. Roll and seal
    Roll the pastry tightly. Seal the edge and brush all over with beaten egg.
  7. Slice and bake
    Cut into even rolls and place on the prepared tray. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until golden, crisp, and cooked through.
  8. Serve
    Leave to cool slightly before serving. Best enjoyed warm.
